SPF Record Installation

Authentication Video Tutorial

SPF stands for Sender Policy Framework. In effect, it is the list of authorized senders for email delivered on behalf of your domain.

Manually setting up SPF  requires editing your domain's DNS records. If you're not comfortable making these changes, you can use Entri to automatically configure your DNS.

To get started:

  1. Go to your Account tab
  2. Select Campaign Setting
  3. Click on Domain Authentication.
  4. On this page, enter your domain and subdomain (if applicable).
  5. Afterward, click the Add Domain button to proceed.

Authentication Setup Overview

After adding a domain, ReachMail provides setup instructions for:

  • SPF (left section)
  • DKIM (middle section)
  • DMARC (right section)

In the SPF instructions, the left section shows your current SPF setup and what needs to be added. The first box displays your existing SPF record (which updates periodically), while the second box provides the text you need to include. SPF should be added as a TXT record to your top-level domain. Depending on your DNS provider, the Host/Name field may be left blank or set to “@”.

Important: Do not remove any existing SPF record—only add to it. Removing it may disrupt email delivery from other authorized sources.

  • Review your current SPF record in the first box
  • Copy the new SPF value from the second box
  • Add it as a TXT record in your DNS
  • Leave Host/Name blank or use “@” (based on your provider)
  • Wait at least 10 minutes for DNS propagation
  • Click Check Current DNS to refresh and verify
  • Look for green success messages to confirm setup
  • If unsuccessful, recheck your DNS entries and propagation status
