Mailings :: How To Insert External/Dynamic Image

When building your mailing, you can either upload an image directly or use an external image URL. An external image is one that’s hosted on another server and linked into your email by its URL, rather than being uploaded into the editor. While uploading an image is easier and recommended for better reliability and faster loading, you may need to use an external image if the file is hosted elsewhere, needs to stay updated automatically, or is too large to upload.

Follow these steps to add an external image using a URL in the mailing editor:

1. Add an Image Block

  • From the Content section on the left side, find the Image block.
  • Drag and drop the block into the area of the email where you want the image to appear.

2. Access Image Properties

  • Click on the newly placed image block by clicking on the Move () icon.

  • The Content panel will update on the left side of the editor to show Image Properties.

3. Insert Your Image URL

  • Select the Set Dynamic Image button.
  • In the Source URL / Dynamic Image box, type or paste your URL.
Note: Your image must be publicly hosted and allow direct linking (hotlinking). Supported formats include JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.

4. Preview and Save

  • After entering the URL, the image will automatically load in the editor.
  • Make any additional adjustments (such as size or alignment) if needed.
Tips! If the image does not load, double-check that the link is correct and accessible without a login. Avoid using extremely large image files to ensure faster email loading times for your recipients.
