The foundational elements of our templates are structures and content. Each template comprises several structures, with each structure holding a specific content type. The main distinction among structures is the number of columns they feature, which can range from one to four. To modify your template, simply click the "structure" tab, select your desired structure type, and then drag it into the template where you want it.
We suggest creating templates with multiple structures to organize the content better, preventing it from being confined to just one or two structures. This approach helps to maintain clarity, particularly in mobile responsive designs, and avoids content scattering within your chosen layout. Structures function similarly to tables; to align content vertically, organize it into structures, ensuring that text is neatly arranged beneath one another in narrower views.
It is possible to insert content such as text, images, buttons, dividers, spacers, social media, video, GIFs, dynamic content, and even code into structures. Click on the "Content" tab, and then you can add content by dragging it to the selected column in the block.
The Invisible Header Text (also known as Preheader) is a short summary of your email that appears in the email inbox preview, next to or below the subject line. It helps give recipients a quick idea of the content before they open the email, improving engagement rates. This text is included at the top of the email but remains hidden when the email is opened.
Please notice the magic wand icon at the top right. This handy AI tool can automatically generate preheader text based on the current content of your template. Neat!
Here, you can adjust your template's width. The standard width is set to 600 pixels, but you can modify it according to your needs. Adjusting the width is helpful if your screen has more pixels than the template. A 600-pixel-wide template should display properly on both desktop and mobile devices.
This set of options enables you to configure the general color scheme of the basic building blocks of your template.
With these options, you can adjust:
E-mail background: The background color of your whole template.
Blocks background: The background color of all structures.
Buttons: The background color of all buttons.
Hyperlink: The text color of all hyperlinks.
To avoid your template resembling a rainbow (unless that is your intention), you can choose from either predefined colors or colors already used in your template (which are detected automatically).
This set of options enables you to define a unique appearance for all three levels of headings, as well as paragraph text and button text. Apart from standard settings, such as font color, font size, and font type, you can also set font style, letter spacing, line height, and casing. These additional options are hidden in the expandable window.
You can also locate and temporarily adjust these options in the text editor toolbar, which appears automatically whenever you edit any text.
However, you can only permanently change the default font settings in the Settings panel.
This setting refers to the amount of space between individual lines in a block of text. In other words, the smaller this number, the more compressed the text will look.
List settings apply exclusively to lists (they do not affect simple text). Once you create one (either ordered or unordered), these settings enable you to adjust its position relative to other elements within the same block.
This is another set of settings that affects only lists. They allow you to define the font style of list items, along with list markings (the style of bullet points for unordered lists and numbering formats for ordered lists).
And that’s all, folks! Now go to the template and experiment with these settings. If you ever feel lost or confused about any functionality, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team; we’ll be more than happy to assist you!
