What's a zombie address and why is it bad?

• Also called unengaged addresses
• Subscribers who no longer:
  • Open your emails
  • Click your links

Why It’s Bad

• Harms the overall health of your email list
• Major providers like AOL, Gmail, MSN, and Yahoo track engagement
• Low engagement can:
  • Damage your sending reputation
  • Increase chances of emails going to spam/junk

Removing the zombies

Steps:

1. Go to your list and select Export List from the action menu
2. Expand Advanced Options
3. Check “Export … NOT engaged …”
4. Set your desired date range
5. Click Export
